HerbanfarnNW was founded in 2012 by Ras Levi Peynado who started growing herbs and developing unique recipes with friends and family two years earlier. Sold out of Pike Place Market, Ras’ products utilize ingredients grown on his culinary herb and hot pepper urban farm in North Seattle. Ras is best known for his line of dry seasonings, which includes a Seattle Steak rub that combines thyme, rosemary, and chili flakes with a touch of English lavender. He also offers an extensive collection of hot sauces and honey as well as a pain management salve featuring olive oil infused arnica, calendula, rosemary, and bees wax, among other natural ingredients.
