Julie Davidson pours vitality, connection, and loving kindness into everything she does for her customers at Komadre Kombucha. Komadre Kombucha began as an at-home science project as Julie was searching for an alternative for soda. Sharing her sparkling concoction with her neighbors grew into a business and Julie opened her first retail location in 2021. Julie seeks collaborations with bakers, makers and other Latinx and BIPOC small business owners in and around Tacoma to make Komadre Kombucha a welcoming, inclusive destination. Julie recognizes that it can be hard to find the perfect kombucha flavor, so she rotates seasonal flavors every month.
