The holiday season has arrived.
We’re not going to be the first (or the last) to tell you how different the holidays look this year — but we are absolutely going to encourage you to be even more intentional as you celebrate.
To make it easier for you to find gifts for everyone on your list and support small businesses, we’ve created three special resources to serve as your one-stop shop to #SpendLikeItMatters this holiday season.
Our curated Holiday Gift Guides are the perfect solution for the thoughtful gift-giver who believes every purchase is an opportunity to support a local business owner. You’ll find guides for your parents, your teenage nephew, your eco-conscious friend, and more with unique goodies from small businesses owned by women, people of color, and members of the LGBTQ community. The best part? All these gifts will ship right to you or your loved ones.
The Holiday Marketplace features a selection of unique gifts, exclusively available for purchase through Intentionalist. You’ll find our PoC-Owned Coffee By The Dozen vouchers, gift certificates to 60+ diverse, small businesses, and Spend Like It Matters merchandise — including the signature mini tote — you can rock all year long.
Intentionalist’s Holiday Business Directory includes all of the businesses featured in our Holiday Gift Guides, Marketplace, and more! The curated directory provides an easy way to explore a curated list of businesses perfect for holiday eating, drinking, gifting, and relaxing.
This time of year has always been important for small businesses to stay afloat. With the added impact of the pandemic, it is an even more critical time to support local businesses in our communities. Yelp reports over 100,000 small businesses have permanently closed since the pandemic began, with Black-owned and Latinx-owned businesses getting hit the hardest.
Small businesses and the diverse people behind them are in survival mode — and we can help them weather the storm of 2020 by gifting intentionally from local businesses.
At a time of uncertainty and difficulty, we are especially thankful for the many ways that small businesses make our communities better. Thank you for all that you do to support them this holiday season and always.
Thanks for all that you do to #SpendLikeItMatters! Discover awesome brick + mortar small businesses in your community, suggest your favorites, and be sure that you’re following us on social media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter).
Intentionalist is your local guide to small businesses and the diverse people behind them. We believe that where you spend your money matters, and we’re sure glad you do too! Whether you identify as a localist, activist, or just a good neighbor, we make it easy for you to connect with, learn about, and support small businesses in your community through everyday decisions about where you eat, drink, and shop.
