Support AAPI-owned businesses
“Celebrate AAPI” in white letters on a red background surrounded by the word celebrate in different languages.

May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, and we’re celebrating AAPI-owned businesses and the many ways they make our communities better.  AAPI Heritage Month is a great time to support AAPI-owned businesses.

It’s been over a year since the COVID-19 pandemic forced small businesses to shut their doors — some permanently. But this past year, we’ve also seen people rally around small businesses to help keep them afloat, and we’ve been inspired by the example of so many small businesses who have continued to support their community. We think that’s cause for celebration.

This May, we want to go above and beyond trying to ensure the survival of AAPI-owned businesses. We want to jump for joy, do a dance, shout our favorite businesses from the top of our lungs, and support them in any way we can. We want to celebrate.

We have plenty of intentional awesome planned throughout the month, including a matchday collaboration with the Seattle Sounders FC and a special incentive to #SpendLikeItMatters at AAPI-owned small businesses thanks to Seattle Storm and their partners. Stay tuned for details!

While you’re waiting, there are still plenty of ways you can support AAPI-owned businesses in your community:
