We’re thrilled to announce the winners of the second annual Intentionalist Awards, which were presented at a live event on October 15, 2024. Our judges waded through more than 400 nominations of small business that exemplify the creativity and dedication that make our neighborhoods thrive.
Guests enjoyed bites delicious food from Shooby Doo Catering, Gold Coast Ghal Kitchen, and Salvadorean Bakery, along with beverages from Aluel Cellars, Metier Brewing, Seeking Kombucha, and special treats from Pinckney Cookies and Macadons.
The Intentionalist Awards were presented by BECU and supported by Alaska Airlines, Dick’s Drive-In, Fulcrum Coffee, Safeway, Symetra, and Vlack Media.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special night – and thank you to our emcee, Sean Goode, the award presenters, our DJ, Erika White of Fat’s Chicken & Waffles, Sondra Segundo and Jeanne Jimenez from the Haida (hi-duh) Nation, Yahkw ‘Láanaas (yah-k lah-nahs) – Raven Clan out of Hydaburg Alaska, and our incredible team of volunteers.
Community over Competition
This award recognizes a small business who champions, promotes, opens doors for, and supports other small businesses.

Rookie of the Year
This award recognizes a small business that not only is new, but also brings something new to the community.

Heart of the Community
This award recognizes a small business that gives back to and takes care of the local community – a community hub, place, and space where people go and gather to find belonging.
Sierra Jones, A Space Inside

Legacy Award
This award recognizes a small business whose longevity has shaped and positively impacted the community around them.

Team Members of the Year
We also celebrated the team members who are the backbone of Seattle’s small businesses. This award was presented by Sarah Studer from the Intentionalist team!
