Celebrated from September 15-October 15, Latinx Heritage Month 2022 is an opportunity to explore and support small businesses owned by members of Latinx, Hispanic, and Latino-identified communities.
Our artwork this month features the designs of Catherine Macias, sister of Seeking Kombucha co-owner Jeanette Macias. The design draws inspiration from the traditional Mexican craft, papel picado.
Throughout Latinx Heritage Month, we invite you to explore the diversity of Latinx, Hispanic, and Latino-identified cultures and #SpendLikeItMatters.
We’ve got some fun collaborations that make it easy:
1. Receipt & Receive
Upload your receipts when you #SpendLikeItMatters at any Latino-owned small businesses throughout Latinx Heritage Month for the chance to win prizes from some of your favorite Seattle professional sports teams! Seattle Sounders FC, Seattle Storm, Seattle Seahawks, OL Reign, Seattle Mariners, Seattle Kraken, and Intentionalist want to encourage the community to buy from local Latino-owned businesses this month and beyond.
2. Save 20% on Gift Certificates to Latino-owned Businesses
From October 5-15, receive a 20% discount on gift certificates to Latino-owned businesses via Intentionalist’s Gift Certificate Marketplace thanks to support from Seattle Storm, Seattle Mariners, Seattle Kraken, OL Reign, Seattle Sounders FC, and Seattle Seahawks.
Stay tuned for details!
3. BECU – Equity In Action
Throughout Latinx Heritage Month, BECU members can enjoy free eats and treats from a variety of local Latino-owned businesses. Learn more about the Equity in Action: It on Us initiative.
