At Business Impact NW, our mission is to grow businesses that create jobs in underserved communities.

Running a successful small business is tough. Did you know that only half of small businesses make it to their 5th birthday? And the odds for businesses owned by low/moderate income earners, women, BIPOC, veterans, immigrants or members of the LGBTQ+ community are even tougher. Business Impact NW improves those odds by arming our clients with the knowledge, advice, and capital they need to launch and grow a successful small business.

Business Impact NW has been expanding the opportunity for business success, decreasing unemployment, and stimulating the economic life of local communities in the Pacific Northwest since our founding in 1997. By providing the coaching, classes and small business loans entrepreneurs need our programs support the success and growth of small businesses that make our communities special. We specialize in working with entrepreneurial low/moderate income earners, women, BIPOC, veterans, immigrants and members of the LGBTQ+ community.

As a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) we can give loans to small businesses that cannot qualify at a bank. We also provide free one-on-one business coaching and business training for small owners in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska. We serve startups as well as existing businesses and are dedicated to helping underrepresented entrepreneurs at every stage in their business growth.
