When Karuna Long bought Oliver’s Twist in 2017, he worked hard to stay true to the beloved Phinney Ridge bar’s craft cocktails and savory and sweet appetizers. But the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 prompted Karuna to shift in a more familiar direction — toward his Cambodian roots. His menu now tells the story of Khmer culture through food, and the community rallied behind him.
