Buritt “Mr. B” Bulloch and Mamie Bulloch have been running Chicago’s beloved doughnut destination, Old Fashioned Donuts, in Chicago since 1972. Every day, Mr. B fries up fresh, classic doughnuts — like apple fritters, cake doughnuts, and Texas-style doughnuts that are the size of a dinner plate — using a technique he has down to a science, from proofing to glazing. 

Pro tip: Get there early if you want to try a Texas-style doughnut because they sell out quickly.
