Physical cards are swiped at the register, exactly like a credit card. For digital cards, simply share the card information with the cashier. We are working to give customers the ability to add cards to Apple, Samsung, and Google wallets – we appreciate your patience.

The old Intentionalist Gift Card is no longer an in-person payment option at participating small businesses, but can still be selected as a form of payment when making a purchase from the Intentionalist Store.We will soon share an easy option to use your old Intentionalist Gift Card to purchase the new Intentionalist Card that includes waiver of the program fee – we appreciate your patience.

When logged into your Intentionalist Account, you can access your balance from the Cards list.
What do I do if my card is declined?
You can first check your balance through your Intentionalist Account. For further support, you can contact us (link) or call 1-800-416-6373.
Is the Intentionalist Card the same as a Merchant Gift Card?
The Intentionalist Card can be used at any participating small business. You also have the option to purchase a gift card for a specific small business through the Intentionalist Store.
What is the program fee?
The program fee allows Intentionalist to cover the administrative costs of the Intentionalist Card program, which includes transaction fees from our vendors.
What is the fastest way to access my card?
When you’re logged into your Intentionalist Account, you can access your digital Intentionalist Card from the Cards list. We also recommend adding it to your digital wallet for easy access in person.
I’m a small business owner. Is there a program fee? How do I register to accept the Black Black Friday Card and/or Intentionalist Card at my business?
It is free to register for the Intentionalist Card Program. As the Black Black Friday Card and Intentionalist Card are prepaid restricted-access Mastercards, businesses will pay normal Mastercard transaction fees at the time of sale.
If your business does not yet have a listing on Intentionalist, sign up or log into your account on intentionalist.com and click on Add a Business. Once you receive confirmation that your business has been added, log in to the “My Business Dashboard”, claim your business, and select “Register for the Intentionalist Card Program.” You’ll be prompted to approve the program terms and conditions, and then receive instructions for getting set up with your POS system.
