A Different Booklist
When wife and husband team Itah Sadu and Miguel San Vincente bought A Different Booklist from the original owner in 1999, they made the bookstore into a community hub. A Different Booklist showcases the literature of the African and Carribbean diaspora and what Itah and Miguel call the Canadian Cultural Mosaic. One of Sadu’s and San Vincente’s main goals for the bookstore: making sure young Canadians of African descent can see themselves reflected in literature.
Be sure to keep an eye out on their calendar to check out author talks, art exhibits, children’s programs, and more community events.
