For over a decade, Nzingha Nommo worked as an MTS/System Engineer for AT&T. Then, as she shifted to pursue other passions, Nzingha sought to cultivate a space to share and promote African history, culture, art, and connections. In 1993, AfriWare Books, Gifts & Cultural Events was born. AfriWare Books has distinguished itself as a beacon for cultural literacy, providing specialty products, books, and events. The rich variety of event programming at AfriWare Books includes featured authors, community activists, and musical artists!

Fun fact: Nzingha is also a classically trained pianist.
