Maize (he/him) is a multidisciplinary artist rooted in ancestral pattern design and illustration. Through textiles, illustration, and tattooing, he channels inherited symbols, dreams, and visions into powerful motifs that honor memory, identity, and spirit. Based on the West Coast and born in NJ/NY, Maize creates original designs for home, body, and beyond — his work has been featured in galleries nationwide and recognized internationally.
Tattooing is the latest evolution of Maize’s practice — a sacred, living medium that deepens his connection to lineage and ritual. With starting this journey in 2023 Maize has been improving quickly with hands-on training and mentorship working in several tattoo shops in Seattle, he brings precision, intention, and queer vision to every mark. Each piece becomes a bridge across time, where pattern and story meet the skin.
