Anu and Birbal Rana started Anu Rana’s Healthy Kitchen at the Vashon Farmers Market in 2012 selling Anu’s vegan and gluten free almond flour cookies and brownies. Anu, Birbal and their daughters immigrated from Nepal to Vashon Island in 2005, and their business took root in the heart of Vashon in 2015. This cozy cafe offers grab & go style authentic Nepali curries, vegan & gluten-free options, sandwiches, unique snacks, and gourmet drinks. Anu shares her authentic cooking with the Vashon Island community, her daughters pour their creativity into unique drinks, and Birbal runs the front with quiet dedication, making sure every customer feels at home. Together, they have built a space that reflects family, flavor, and heart.
