Avole
Community, culture, and coffee are the driving principles behind Cafe Avole. Owner Solomon Dubie opened Cafe Avole to share the complex, strong Ethiopian coffee culture with the people of Seattle. The idea came to Solomon while attending Eastern Washington University and pondering what to do after college. Following graduation, Dubie pursued his passion for coffee and, through crowdfunding, opened Cafe Avole on Rainier Ave. in 2016. In 2022, the business shortened its name to Avole and moved into the Liberty Bank Building with a new menu featuring fresh pressed juices and house-roasted coffee. In 2023, they returned to Rainier Beach with a location in the new the Ethiopian Village building.
