Jaydean Gabriel was born on the Big Island of Hawaii and has been eating poke all of his life. After opening and running a food truck, People of the Chubbs, with his business partner, Jaydean decided to go all in with poke by opening Big Island Poke in 2016 with his wife Mickey Gabriel.
