Cafe Avole

Solomon Dubie a young Ethiopian-American, is raising money to turn the Rainier Mini Mart on the corner of Rainier Avenue South and South Holly Street into Café Avole, an "elegant, inviting, community-based cafe." Inspired by his mother and family, who carry on the tradition and rituals of Ethiopian coffee, Dubie brews and serves the smooth, strong coffee in a jebena for sharing. 144957

The idea for Cafe Avole came to Solomon Dubie while attending Eastern Washington University and pondering what to do after college. Following graduation, Dubie pursued his passion for coffee and, through crowdfunding, opened Cafe Avole in 2016 with the hopes of sharing Ethiopian coffee culture, cuisine, and products with Seattle.
