Sedat Uysal migrated to the U.S. in 1985 when he realized his future as a journalist in Turkey was limited. He opened Cafe Paloma in 1998, which has become a beloved Pioneer Square institution for Mediterranean cuisine, Turkish coffee, and rotating art exhibits.
