Carolina Music Therapy

Driven by a deep love for music and a profound belief in its ability to touch lives, Alison Hughey opened Carolina Music Therapy in 2019 in Spartanburg, SC. Her dedication to using the power of music to foster connection, healing, and personal growth has made Carolina Music Therapy a beacon of hope for individuals seeking solace and support through the art of sound.

Alison decided to study music therapy after having a back injury and months of chronic pain (along with frustration and depression related to that pain), during which she used music to cope. She started this private practice because she was unable to find employment as a music therapist within an organization in her hometown. Loving where she lives, she decided to create one! 

Alison is grateful that her practice allows her to stay close to her roots while also traveling to facilitate retreats!
