In 2021 Ashanti Mayfield and her family opened the ice cream, espresso, and specialty eats shop Creamy Cone Cafe. Creamy Cone has 12 rotating flavors of locally-sourced ice cream, including vegan options, and their waffle cones are made daily (with a special surprise at the bottom).

Note: In 2025 Creamy Cone pivoted to focus exclusively on catering.

What I like most about this black owned woman owned business is their commitment and service to the community. Exposing entrepreneurialship to students and hiring teens in the community.
    I can’t wait to try the new flavors of ice cream!
