Dooky Chase’s Restaurant has served up traditional Creole eats since 1941. In its early days, it was a popular hub for jazz musicians and civil rights leaders such as Martin Luther King Jr. and Thurgood Marshall. Today, Edgar Dooky Chase Jr. and Leah Lange Chase’s family are continuing their legacy are dishing up their famous gumbo and po boys to hungry Louisianans.
