Exile in Bookville

Javier Ramirez and Kristin Enola Gilbert own and run Exile in Bookville, an indie bookstore in the Fine Arts Building on Chicago’s Michigan Avenue. At Exile in Bookville, Javier and Kristin believe that books and music are synonymous and carry that philosophy over into their store. Fun fact: That approach is even evident in their bookstore’s name, which is a nod to Liz Phair’s 1993 debut album Exile in Guyville.
