Elmer Dulla opened familyfriend in December 2023 to bring authentic Guamanian cuisine to Seattle’s Beacon Hill neighborhood. Drawing from his childhood memories growing up in SÃ¥nta Rita, Guam, Elmer crafted Seattle’s only Guamanian restaurant, serving elevated versions of comfort foods like corn soup, chicken adobo tacos, and the acclaimed smash burger that earned a spot on the New York Times’ 2024 list of America’s 50 best restaurants.
