Elmer Dulla opened familyfriend in December 2023 to bring authentic Guamanian cuisine to Seattle’s Beacon Hill neighborhood. Drawing from his childhood memories growing up in Sånta Rita, Guam, Elmer crafted Seattle’s only Guamanian restaurant, serving elevated versions of comfort foods like corn soup, chicken adobo tacos, and the acclaimed smash burger that earned a spot on the New York Times’ 2024 list of America’s 50 best restaurants.
