Faisa Farole opened Federal Way Birth Center (FWBC) in 2024 to create Washington’s first freestanding, Black-owned birth center dedicated to safe, empowering, and community-centered maternity care. Partnering with independent Licensed Midwives (LM) and Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM), FWBC provides families with prenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum care in beautiful birth suites designed to support natural, healthy birth. Rooted in the belief that every pregnant person, regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, or income, deserves a safe and supported birthing experience, FWBC is working to dismantle disparities in maternal healthcare while welcoming all families.
