In 2019, Julio Valesquez took over G.V. Jewelry from his father and store’s namesake, Gerardo Valesquez. Gerardo created G.V. Jewelry in 1987, starting out as a mom-and-pop shop but quickly became a thriving family-owned Chicago small business. Julio is a gem expert and trained his entire life in the jewelry industry, setting his fist diamonds at 12 years old. This skill and passion for the craft shine through G.V.
