Here’s the scoop — in 2019, Karin Sellers opened the first Black and woman-owned ice cream shop in the Georgia Avenue neighborhood, and it has continued to make a lasting impact on the community. Their specialty is hand-dipped ice cream in a variety of flavors from classics like vanilla or chocolate to their standout flavors like Campfire S’mores or Pumpkin. The ice cream shop also offers dairy-free options, so everyone can enjoy scoop! Aside from ice cream, Here’s The Scoop! has teamed up with other PoC-owned businesses to showcase their talents and offer baked goods like cookies, cakes, banana pudding, and much more.
