Kilig
Owners Melissa Miranda and Amelia Franada were inspired to open Kilig to bring more Filipino cuisine to Seattle’s Chinatown-International District. The menu includes traditional Filipino dishes like Bulalo (beef shank stew), Pancit (noodles), and Spicy Pork Adobo – dishes designed to satisfy those who’ve been missing the flavors of Filipino comfort food, and those who have yet to experience it. The name “Kilig” means “full of elation” in Tagalog, which was no accident. They also have vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free dishes so the whole family can eat.
Bonus: Don’t miss Melissa’s flagship restaurant, Musang, and its kid’s cooking program, Little Wildcats, operated in part by Amelia.
