Tamara Asakawa opened Magpie Thrift’s Broadway location in Seattle in 2025 to create a fun, queer-friendly space where shopping supports community. Offering a curated selection of clothing, accessories, home goods, and furniture, Magpie Thrift funds partner nonprofit Everly, with all profits going toward sustainable care, creative reuse, and resource sharing. By hand-pricing every item and collaborating with Everly to donate unsold goods to local nonprofits and mutual aid groups, the shop makes thrifting both meaningful and impactful. Magpie Thrift also has a Shoreline location.
