Experience Filipino-American fast-food fusion at Makulít, a colorful walk-up stand nestled in Portland’s Lil’ America food truck pod. Owners Xrysto Castillo and Mike Bautista, both Filipino-American, wanted to create dishes that showcase both sides of their heritage. Forget Big Macs: their Big Buns, a delicious take on the classic drive-through cheeseburger features a sweet sausage patty topped with atsara, Filipino papaya relish, and served on a fluffy Franz bun.

Tip: Don’t skip the condiments! Each of their sauces, from BBQ to sinamak (a sweet spiced vinegar sauce), is made in-house and packed with flavor.
