Master Shon’s Black Belt Academy teaches taekwondo, self-development, and discipline training to kids and adults of all ages. It’s owned by Master Shon, who started his Taekwondo training in 1972 and has over 40 years of teaching under his Black belts. He holds a 6th-degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and a 4th-degree Black Belt in Hapkido, with a long list of honors and accolades. Throughout high school and college, he was a 5-time Korean National Champion and went on to become the head coach of Seoul’s Myong Ji University taekwondo team. 

Master Shon also played a big role in growing taekwondo’s popularity in the States and was part of Jackie Chan’s stunt team while providing Nicholas Cage’s family with private training. Today, Master Shon operates two dojangs in Federal Way to continue the legacy and advancement of Taekwondo.
