Nubian Hueman – Washington, DC

For 15 years Anika worked in multi-level, national, and international retail trades with one of the world’s leading fast fashion-retail brands. This experience and understanding of the inequity in the marketplace empowered her to amplify Black and Brown brands. In 2013 she opened Nubian Hueman, which connects intentional consumers with over 600 emerging artists and brands from 35 countries. 

Anika believes that consciously choosing to shop from Black and Brown-owned businesses is a way of life so Nubian Hueman offers everything from men’s and women’s clothing and accessories to beauty products and homewares.

The Nubian Hueman DC location is for pick-up only, but customers can visit their store in Baltimore to peruse in person!
