Red Bear Brewing

This gay-owned brewery is a safe place. That’s what co-owners Bryan Van Den Oever, Cameron Raspet, and Simon Bee want folks to know about Red Bear Brewing. That, and that all of their beers on tap are all fantastic. The three co-owners met in Seattle before moving to Washington D.C. for their next adventure and opening the brewery in 2019. Their rustic atmosphere is meant to echo that of REI and other outdoor companies. Their space has a stage for performances and the outdoor space even hosts a yoga class every month.

Fun fact: Red Bear Brewing aims to be as accessible as possible. They have gender neutral bathrooms, wheelchair accessible bar space, braille menus, and employees training in ASL!
