Ukeme Ekpoh opened So Pressious in 2020 during COVID when all the nail salons shut down. So Pressious emerged from her choice to be authentic and fully embrace her talents. She is a self-proclaimed “high-maintenance and DIY girly,” and has infused her personality into her cozy, light pink shop. Keme’s space is designed to be a third space, centering community and connection. So Pressious offers monthly “Press & Sip” events, a fun spin on Paint & Sips that allows attendees to design their own nails and be a nail tech for a day.
