The Riddler – NYC

Jen Pelka opened the sister champagne bar to the her San Francisco original in 2019. With over 150 champagnes by the bottle and dozens of sparkling wines by the glass, their spectacular champagnes are paired with French and American inspired comfort foods from burgers to oysters. Whether you’re looking for an affordable weeknight dinner or a place to toast a special occasion, The Riddler can do both, and that’s something Pelka is proud of.

Fun fact: The Riddler is named after the practice of hand rotating bottles of champagne to allow sediment to gather at the neck and later be removed. Riddling was invented in the 19th century by Madame Clicquot, the Grande Dame of Champagne.
