Eun Ah Seo opened UmmaDak in 2024 to bring Korean fried chicken to Seattle’s International District food scene. UmmaDak’s head chef is affectionately referred to as “Umma,” which means “Mother” in Korean. UmmaDak is warm and welcoming, serving dishes that represent the heart and soul of Korean cuisine. Popular dishes include mix & match bowls (with customizable options ranging from sweet chili to honey garlic butter), and a variety of crispy and juicy fried chicken options (like their original Korean sweet chili and soy garlic).
