#SpendLikeItMatters at woman-owned businesses as part of your Women’s History Month 2022 celebration!
Women-owned businesses typically earn less revenue than their male counterparts, and the gap only widens for businesses owned by women of color. By being more intentional about supporting businesses owned by women in our communities, we can help close the gap through everyday decisions about where we eat, drink, and shop
We’ve teamed up with Reverb, Seattle Seahawks, Seattle Sounders FC, Seattle Storm, Seattle Mariners, Seattle Kraken, and OL Reign on a variety of ways to help you celebrate Women’s History Month and support Main Street woman-owned small businesses:
1. Put it on our tab at woman-owned businesses
Thanks to Reverb, we’re opening tabs at three woman-owned businesses in Seattle on March 1st and March 2nd. On March 1st, enjoy any beverage from Miro Tea and any beverage from Cone & Steiner in Pioneer Square. On March 2nd, enjoy any 12 oz. juice from Melo Cafe!
To enjoy your FREE beverage:
1️⃣ Go to the Intentionalist listing page for Miro Tea, Cone & Steiner – Pioneer Square, and Melo Cafe to check to see if the tab is still open
2️⃣ Click on “Get a Code”
3️⃣ Show the code to the cashier at checkout, and redeem your complimentary treat
2. Receipt & Receive
Upload your receipts when you #SpendLikeItMatters at any woman-owned small businesses throughout the month of March, and you’ll get a chance to win prizes from some of your favorite Seattle sports teams! Seattle Sounders FC, Seattle Storm, Seattle Seahawks, OL Reign, Seatle Mariners, Seattle Kraken, and Intentionalist want to encourage the community to buy from local women-owned businesses this month and beyond.
3. Save 20% on Gift Certificates to woman-owned Businesses
Thanks to support from Seattle Sounders FC, Seattle Storm, and Seattle Seahawks, receive a 20% discount on gift certificates to woman-owned businesses via Intentionalist’s Gift Certificate Marketplace from March 21-31. Stay tuned for the code to use at checkout!
4. Attention BECU Members
To celebrate Women’s History Month 2022, BECU is continuing their Equity in Action initiative, which means they’ve partnered with us to open tabs at woman-owned businesses throughout their service area.
Plus, keep an eye out for more announcements, including a special collaboration between Intentionalist, Hello Robin, and Central Cafe and Juice Bar!
Reminder: If intentional spending isn’t in the cards today, consider writing a recommendation on the Intentionalist listing page of a woman-owned business you love. Share some words of appreciation and be the reason a woman business owner’s day is a little bit brighter!
