Sisters Alemnesh Woldeyes and Tenaye Woldeyes grew up together in Adidas Ababa, Ethiopia. When they moved to Portland, they brought their traditional family recipes with them! The restaurant has been a local favorite since 2014 and is celebrated for its delicious Kitfo beef and large portions.
Fun fact: Aberus means “family” in Guraginia, a name that aptly reflects the communal eating experience at the Woldeyes’ special restaurant!
