Anchor Bar has been a Detroit fixture since 1959, and while its since had an update (and is now sans pool table), its historic legacy still remains. The bar has stood through many historic moments, but it is reputably known as the location of a 1971 police raid that was later dismissed due to forged wiretap authorizations. Owned by Zaid Elia, Anchor Bar is a hockey-hub and offers a hearty selection of bar food and signature cocktails.

Bonus: Anchor Bar runs a free shuttle to Little Caesars Arena, Ford Field or Comerica Park.
