Joshua Rothes and Phil Bevis co-founded Asterism Books in 2023 to give independent publishers a home in Pioneer Square. The shop doubles as a national trade distributor representing 15+ small presses, with a focus on literary fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and work in translation. Inside, shelves feature carefully curated indie titles you won’t find at the chains, plus regular open houses and holiday events that bring local readers together.
