When Chef Trinh Nguyen relocated from Vietnam to Thailand, her family learned to improvise with super local ingredients. In 2019, Trinh and her brother Thai Nguyen opened a Vietnamese restaurant on Bainbridge Island called Ba Sa. The restaurant reflects their passion for Southeast Asian cuisine and sustainability, showcasing local meats and produce. As reflected by a mural on the wall, catfish is one of the restaurant’s specialties, and the recipe has been passed down through their family (definitely worth a taste).

Pro tip: Be sure to order a seasonal cocktail with whatever dish you choose!

  1. So delicious! They have plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. Their outside dining option feels super COVID-safe. Definitely worth a trip to BI.
