Rufus Berry began his work as a cook for Southern Comfort and other southern-style restaurants before opening his own barbecue restaurant. Berry’s BBQ was a part of the Burien community for over a decade before Rufus’ passing. Customers remember Rufus as a wonderful man who made everyone that walked through the door feel welcome and appreciated. His sister, Judy, recently reopened the restaurant in 2022. Make sure to try the rib tip special next time you stop by, and don’t skip the sides!
