In 1979, Albertha Grant opened Bertha’s Kitchen — a legacy that is now carried on by her daughters Julie Grant, Linda Pinckney, and Sharon Grant Coakley. When you walk into the dining room, it feels like you’re stepping into someone’s living room with family portraits on the wall and the delicious smell of pork chops, fried chicken, okra soup, and more Southern classics wafting through the air. 

Fun fact: In 2017, Bertha’s Kitchen was given an America’s Classic award from the James Beard Foundation!
