Since his first tattoo at 18, Mikal Gilmore felt at home in tattoo shops. In 2015 he opened Blue Ox Tattoo in Portland, Oregon, a tattoo shop known for housing artists that have a variety of styles, talents, and artistic backgrounds. Mikal is a versatile artist and enjoys tattooing in a variety of styles both in black and gray as well as intense color. He is currently focusing on medium to larger pieces.
