Pastry chef Amanda Bankert and her husband Louis Scott named their doughnut shop after one of the first types of bicycle, invented in France in the 19th century. Boneshaker Doughnuts showcase a fusion of American and French pastry technique and the flavors reflect seasonal ingredients many of which are sourced from neighborhood businesses.
