Susan Walukiewicz founded Brugge Chocolates in 2010 to bring European-style chocolate-making to Redmond, a dream she’d carried since her first teenage job at a candy shop. After a career at Microsoft, she trained under master chocolatiers in Chicago before opening the shop. In 2023, Clinton Berreth and Brandon Kindle took over, with Clinton, a former nurse and lifelong hobby baker, learning Susan’s recipes directly from her before taking the reins. The shop specializes in small-batch handcrafted truffles with thin shells and velvety ganache centers, in flavors like Dark Chocolate Black Raspberry, Fig and Brie, and Cardamom Pistachio, all made on-site using Belgian and French couverture chocolate.
