West Seattle’s Canna is redefining the recreational marijuana shopping experience. In stark contrast to the dimly-lit, sterile, and unwelcoming environments that dispensaries often evoke, Canna will make you feel right at home (literally). The shop is nestled in a 1920s Craftsman-style house which owner Maryam Mirnateghi intends to be approachable and cozy — not pretentious. Maryam didn’t come into her passion for cannabis education until a loved one was diagnosed with cancer and a tincture seemed to be the only effective remedy. Now, she takes care to educate customers on the various benefits of various flower, pre-rolls, concentrates, edibles, and topicals at Canna.
