For Zoraya Zambrano, the food business runs in the family. Before moving to the United States in 2003, she ran and operated a restaurant in the town of Calca, Peru. Over a decade later, Zoraya opened her namesake restaurant with her kids, Gary and Gloria Marmanillo, in 2018.

With delicious, locally-sourced ingredients and live music, North Portland’s Casa Zoraya is vibrant restaurant for a night out in the city. The family’s menu includes a variety of Peruvian dishes featuring local ingredients: ceviche, ají de gallina (a comforting, creamy chicken stew), a vegetarian take of lomo saltado made with mushrooms in lieu of beef, and more. Don’t miss Casa Zoraya’s unique, Pisco-forward cocktail menu, either.
