William Steuernagel started Cheese & Crack as a mobile neighborhood cheese cart. In 2012, he brought on co-owner Nathan Hall and opened their brick and mortar snack shop in Southeast Portland. There, they expanded their food menu and created an accompanying craft beer and wine list. 

Today, William and Nathan thoughtfully assemble trays of house-made crackers, cheeses (um, hello, Brie brûlée), olives, cornichons, dips, and charcuterie. (Are these spreads essentially a grown-up spin on Lunchables? Sure. But they sure do make a delicious and easy meal.)

Pro-tip: Don’t miss William’s and Nathan’s selection of soft serve ice creams, which can come dusted with matcha or espresso dust, layered into a creative sundae, or swirled into frozen lemonade.
