When Kristin Lacy and Vivi Lemus first met in 2015, they instantly connected over their love for hospitality, culturally-rooted food and drink, community, and Guatemala. After collaborating on a few community dinners and cooking classes, they decided to open a neighborhood spot where folks could share stories, Spanglish, and a love for Central American recipes. They opened Convivio Cafe in Denver, CO in 2020, selling farmer-roasted coffee in-store, online, and at pop-up markets.
Fun Fact: In Guatemala, a convivio is a get-together where were all welcome.
