Shifting away from drinking your abuelita‘s instant coffee to something a bit fancier? Make the trip to Cortez Coffee Company where you can grab freshly roasted coffee beans, cacao, and teas sourced sustainably from across the world.

There, you can meet owner Ron Cortez who opened his namesake company in 1993 after learning the art of coffee roasting, brewing, and growing from his father and grandfather in Costa Rica. You may also catch his son, Patrick, making drinks behind the bar or filling growlers of cold brew. If you’re lucky, you might just get a tour of the roastery.
